Delighting in life while thriving in Christ as a stay at home mother and wife

October 2, 2018

Being A Stay At Home Mom Is Doing God’s Will

I did it.

I finally did it.

My very first podcast has been completed and now it can be found on iTunes and my YouTube channel. I have also included the podcast below so you can take a listen to it right from this page.

So before you give it a listen, let me tell you a little about what this episode of my podcast entails and what drove me to record it.

Where Is The Christian SAHM Support?

First and foremost, this podcast is geared strictly for the Christian stay at home mom who is looking for biblical advice and spiritual encouragement for her role in the heart of her family. Like I say time and time again, being a stay at home mom in this day and age is not easy at all. It seems like the support for mothers to stay home full time with their children is dwindling day by day.

Most mothers are expected to work or go to school full time (or do both) while raising young children and supporting the balance of the home for their husbands. This usually leaves a woman overwhelmed and allows for some gaps within the family dynamic that could be avoided if a mother were to stay at home and raise her children full time.

What exactly am I talking about?

I will talk more in detail about this in the future but choosing to stay at home full time with your children allows for your family to thrive in the best possible way spiritually, emotionally and mentally as a whole.

Oh, The Woes of Stay At Home Motherhood

But no one said it was going to be easy. I can tell you myself that as a stay at home mother of going on four years this month, I have battled every kind of spiritual attack from severe depression to rage because of my misunderstanding of my role. I had no support. I did not study the word of God. I was not going to church and I was hardly praying. I did not like my role, which in turn made it difficult for me to be the best mother I could be. Until one day I had enough of the self-pity and feelings of depression, anxiety, isolation, resentment, and anger.

It all began with prayer and it snowballed from there.

The Bible Pretty Much Explains Our Mommy/Wifey Roles Quite Plainly

This podcast provides scripture straight out of the bible that explains to us mothers what we are supposed to do, how we are supposed to raise our children, and how to respect our husbands. It also describes what to do when we feel like complaining, and how to lift ourselves back up when we feel like we are overwhelmed and about to throw in the towel.

A Lengthy Podcast But So Worth Every Second

Now, I will warn you. This podcast recording is almost two hours long. Yes! I said it. And I will tell you that I do not plan on producing many podcasts that run this long in the future. But everything I do, I do it from the heart. From my blog posts, videos and books I’ve written, to when I speak…even if it is face-to-face with a stranger. I couldn’t allow myself to hold anything back in this podcast that I felt could help a struggling stay at home mom turn her life around and feel more empowered in her position than ever before.

I decided to record a podcast instead of recording a video for this message because something’s are better solely listened to and contemplated on. I want you to view this as an audio bible study and I encourage you to pull out your bibles, find the scripture I read out, highlight what speaks to your heart and take a notebook and write notes on what you uncover. I’m not abandoning YouTube videos for those of the visual inclined, but instead, diversifying my outlets for spreading the gospel of The Lord and how it pertains to motherhood and wifedom.

So if you have to, download the podcast to your phone and listen to it throughout the day or week, piece by piece. I have opened and closed the podcast with a heartfelt prayer for all who listen to it, and I believe that if you join me in that prayer you will begin to see God’s bountiful blessings pour down into your life starting from your heart and then into your mind.

This Christian mommy podcast titled “Being A Stay At Home Mom Is Doing God’s Will” is where I read scripture, provide guidance, support, advice, and wrap it all up in God’s love and prayer.

Join me in delighting in life while thriving in Christ as a modern day stay at home mother and wife.

I was praying the night before for good, truthful, encouraging Christian advice on being a stay at home mom and wife. It’s tough, you know, being at home with the kids al of the time. I have six kids and I am so grateful to be at home with them but I feel like I have no one around me who can relate to what I go through. A lot of the advice online for stay at home moms are great but they are not Jesus based. I rejoiced when I came across your videos on YouTube and I made my way to your website and your articles are so detailed and real. Now that you have come out with a podcast …I’m ecstatic. This first episode was not playing games…please make more! You are truly a light in the tunnel that seems to be dark with no end. Thank you sooo , soo very much for sharing your encouraging words!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words, Farrah! I truly appreciate you taking the time out to uplift me and my work. I believe there are a ton of Christian stay at home moms out there, we just got to encourage them to speak up about their faith when they share about their advice on motherhood and wife life online. I’ve got more in store for this year, so please hang tight. Thank you again for your continued support!
